SendaMarket entry and business development between Europe and North America

Management consulting for market entry and business development between Europe and North America

Do you have the product, world-class technical expertise and, above all, the genuine ambition to keep growing?

Is your company based in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland and heading to Mexico? We’re here for you, and for Mexican companies on their way to Europe or the US.

Two founders, one in each country: Mexico and Germany.

Der Weg nach Mexiko.

TL;DR

What Senda does, in a minute and a half.

Assess, decide, execute: how we guide mid-sized companies on the path to Mexico.

Also available in:
Senda 101

Four phases: set menu or à la carte.

Senda is your strategic partner on the way and at the destination: from market entry and company setup to daily operations. For legal, tax, HR, and logistics we bring in specialized partners. You get a strategy that fits your company, and someone who puts it into practice on site.

How we work, in detail

  1. Validate

Does Mexico pay off for your product?
    Customers, competition, costs, and risks.

We compare Mexico with the other locations on your list: legal framework, taxes, regulation, labor costs, and talent. Independently, even if the answer isn’t Mexico.

You get: a market assessment with sources and a clear recommendation: “Go,” “Not yet,” or “No-Go.”

You can take a self-check; it takes ten minutes or less

  2. Only after “Go”

    Decide

    Which location, which entry model?

    • Distributor
    • Partner
    • Your own company

    More commitment, more control

You get: a business case with the ramp-up curve, liquidity, and financing needs, calculated before you invest.

  3. Enter

Partners, location, company, staff, and permits. We coordinate everyone involved on the ground.

You get: a list of vetted partners and locations paired with a detailed entry schedule.

  4. Accompany

We are there day to day: in the plant, with local authorities, and alongside suppliers. We translate decisions between your headquarters and the site.

You get: regular updates and communication from both teams to anticipate issues before they escalate.

Already have a project? We help you finance it.

We structure the setup that fits your business: public or private funds, debt or equity, or a combination of them. And we prepare it for banks, funds, and development institutions.

No report for the drawer. A decision, and then the work.

Our bridge to the Mittelstand
Who we are

Your partners, two ends of the path.

One knows Mexico from the inside; the other, German mid-sized industry. Austreberto leads finance, strategy, and market entry, while Janek powers technical sales and engineering.

We do B2B: from Bavaria to the Bajío, and of course M&A too: Mittelstand and the Americas.

Austreberto De Gyves García

Austreberto De Gyves García

Founding partner · Mexico City · adegyves@senda-mexico.com

Focus: Cross-border deal structure, capital allocation, and local market positioning.
On the ground: Mexico City & LATAM hubs.

My path

My background. I’ve worked in fast-growing fintechs and in global business units with up to US$300 million in revenue: payments, agribusiness, manufacturing, real estate. I have worked in Mexico and the US, responsible for operations in Canada, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Peru, and Europe. The lesson: industries and countries change, but the growing pains stay remarkably similar.

What I learned. I know those pains from international expansions, restructurings, and M&A integrations, so I spot them early: a strategy that doesn’t land on the ground, a plan that loses momentum, a finance team that delivers numbers but no clarity. And behind every spreadsheet there is a founder’s vision and a team’s work.

My role at Senda. I create the conditions for foreign companies to grow in Mexico. It helps that I grew up tricultural and trilingual and have already led market entries here, from site selection to running operations.

Janek Metz

Janek Metz

Founding partner · Bavaria · jmetz@senda-mexico.com

Focus: Go-to-market execution, industrial partner matchmaking, and technical sales scaling.
On the ground: Bavaria & DACH region.

My path

My background. I’m from Hamburg, studied renewable energy in Stralsund, worked in Berlin, and now live in Bavaria. I know Germany from many corners. The roles I’ve held in technical sales since 2016 have been just as varied: modernisation and new installations, hydrogen energy storage, regional management in Berlin, and international sales for Asia and other markets.

What I learned. Along the way I learned how the Mittelstand decides: thoroughly, on solid technical grounds, and only once the risk is understood. If you propose an investment to a management team, you need to master the technical survey as well as the numbers. And trust is built on site, not in a presentation.

My role at Senda. My motto: “keep moving”. Curiosity about the world has taken me to Latin America again and again. At Senda I’m your first point of contact in Europe: your requirements land correctly on site, and what happens there reaches your headquarters.

Mexico expert
Oscar Ocampo

Oscar Ocampo

Trade, USMCA, and energy · Mexico City

The expert on the two biggest questions every Mexican plant operation faces: energy and trade.

Why Oscar?

A plant depends on two things no business plan settles on its own: reliable power and the rules of the USMCA. That is exactly where Oscar works: at IMCO, the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness.

He knows the power system from the inside, from his time advising CFE’s independent board members. He knows trade policy from his work on regulation, legislative reform, and international trade. And Hamburg taught him how German decision-makers ask: thoroughly, twice, and preferably in writing.

His view on power and the USMCA can tip the balance between “Go,” “Not yet,” and “No-Go.” When your decision hinges on his topic, Oscar joins the table.

IMCO · Director of Economic Development, focused on energy and foreign trade
CFE · Adviser to the independent board members of the state power utility
De la Calle, Madrazo, Mancera · Public affairs: regulation, legislative reform, international trade
Hamburg · LSE · Political science, master’s in public policy

“Mexico faces a historic opportunity. This is not a cyclical story, but a structural shift in the global economy. The biggest hurdle is energy.”
